Kind words from Penny and Cliff
I just wanted to share Penny's words as it made me happy that I am achieving what I'm aiming for.
My favourite thing about being a Photographer at a wedding is that I can have a part in making the day special for the Bride and Groom. For helping them feel relaxed. It was such a pleasure to be part of Penny and Cliff's wedding and I had such a great day with this beautiful, lovely couple.
Photography by Nicola...
What a lovely and wonderfully talented photographer she is!
Nicola was the photographer for our wedding in April and we can not sing her praises enough!

Very professional, constantly in contact, very organised, you feel that your special day is safe in her hands and that you will be able to count on her every step of the way to be professional, helpful, timely and reliable!
The photos are stunning! We could not have asked for more! It was very very important to us that our day was caught in a natural, candid way.... And as we look back on them now we feel the love we felt on that day, the pictures captured special moments we would never have been to remember so clearly without them! Nicola captured something very special in her beautiful photos and that was the happiness and emotion of that day! We are in love with these pictures!
Finally Nicola herself! What a pleasant and lovely lady she is! She was a very calming influence throughout the day. Her ease and charm helped what could have been a hectic day run smoothly and stress free! She allowed us to take our time and be ourselves! Always smiling and genuinely happy for us! So happy to have had her there!
A long review, but we can not recommend her enough.. For her professionalism, talent and lovely self!
Thank you Nicola!

Sariah & Simon Preview
I'm really enjoying editing the pictures from Sariah and Simon's wedding. I really enjoyed trying a few new things on the day using an off camera flash kit and also tying to use bounce flash more in the documentary style images. I definitely can see a difference in quality.
I love how each wedding I do I learn so much which is wonderful because I want to always be improving.
Here's a lovely picture of the couple with the wedding party filling in behind.

And just one of the many shots I got of the beautiful Sariah through the day.
I'm still in the process of editing and I can't wait till I get to the reception and the ice cream trolley.

Glasgow Kisses (and love)
I strangely enjoyed the drive to Glasgow. After I got over the fact that I was driving over 60 miles an hour for an extended period (yes I am one of those people you overtake on the motorway) I enjoyed watching the Lake District go by as I listened to an Agatha Christie audiobook. It was "The Secret of Chimneys" and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves posh English people referring to pretty much everyone as a "Foreigner". I know I do, it makes me feel all upper middle class.
anyway
after a pretty uneventful and scenic drive I reached the town centre, where a couple of pavements may have been mounted as my sat-nav suddenly announced for me to turn left sooner than I expected, and then finally reached my destination. I really enjoyed meeting Simon and Sariah's family. I stayed at Simon grandparent's house which was an absolute delight. They were so fun to talk to and get to know, and they knew Colin's brother so I felt happily connected to them through that.
The next morning I got up early to go photograph Sariah and the bridesmaids getting ready for the wedding and just fell in love with them all. It was such an enjoyable morning while they all laughed and helped each other get ready, Sariah being the embodiment of calm the whole time.
The whole wedding was lovely and I loved how welcome I felt as a part of the day. I must say though that the two things I loved most were the Ice cream cart which provided me with the creamiest most delicious macaroon ice cream I've ever experienced, and the hilarious surprise flamenco dancing.
He was beyond epic.
Another great wedding, and another bunch of new friends and acquaintances i'm happy to have made.

Big Weekend
This weekend I'm photographing a lovely couple's wedding all the way in Glasgow. I have never made such a long drive and I've not been to Scotland in years so I'm looking forward to the expanding of my driving skills and seeing the Scottish scenery pass me by on my journey.
The couple I'm photographing are called Sariah and Simon and they are just so nice. I'm looking forward, as usual, to photographing Sariah getting ready at the hotel in the morning as she is a beauty and is going to be a stunning bride.
I'm really looking forward to the photos we're going to take at the temple as the Christmas lights are up and look beautiful. I'm going up there today to take some practise shots of the places I've planned to use for Sariah and Simon.
I love the challenge of wedding photography and most of all I love the photos that show such love and happiness and such beauty.
All in all I'm looking forward to this weekend.

George & Melissa
A simple Cardiff wedding with George and Melissa. I have a great privilege to work with couples who are clearly in love. Something that can be so nice about straight forward weddings is that the focus is the couple and how being together was more important than years of planning and huge amounts of money, they just wanted each other. I am so grateful to photograph weddings where love is the focus.
I also love how each couples wedding is just very them. Which is how it should be simple or not. Marriage is a miracle and the most wonderful institution. lets celebrate it.

Hitched
The grass is actually greener on the other side.
Here is a low down of my own wedding. The thing that I learnt most was how having my photo taken on the day felt like my least priority. The day went extremely fast and although I promised to defy every bride by actually eating the food I'd chosen for my own day I failed and still mourn the chocolate cake I had a bite of before it was cleared away while I was talking to guests.
I learnt that the photographer really needs to take charge of certain things to make sure the couple gets the shots they want from the day because, like me, photos will be the last thing on their mind as they spend the day gazing into each others eyes (for probably about 3 seconds before they spend the rest of the day hardly seeing each other), making sure they get to talk to the guests and generally going along with the flow of the day.
I'm glad Gary Madison, who took my photos, captured how the wedding felt- full of hugs and grins (and rainbows and unicorns and all things magical)

Kevin & Deirdre
There is something just so nice about simple weddings. I think the best things about Kevin and Deirdre's was that the nothing got in the way of the absolute love they clearly have for each other. It taught me some lessons about myself and about my own wedding planning (which is in its final stages as I type).
I was grateful to be involved in their lovely and simply beautiful wedding.

Dainty Details
I love the small details of weddings, the little things are the sweetest parts. This is a cute little flower girl's outfit which is darling I'm sure you agree.
